今回、交通系YouTuberの「チャンネル長方形」さんに案内していただき、愛媛県今治市にある来島海峡海上交通センターの年一回の一般公開へ足を運びました。
朝のうちはあいにくの空模様だったため、来島海峡展望館で天候の回復を待つことに。幸いお昼頃には雨がやんで霧も晴れたため、無事に向かうことができました。
館内では様々な体験コーナーを巡り、屋上の展望デッキからは、来島海峡を航行する船へ向けた信号を見学。大型船がセンターの的確な指示に従って、狭い海峡を迷いなく進んでいく様子には深く感動させられました。
旅の締めくくりには、今治市内の「お好み焼ゆうた」でお好み焼きをいただきましたが、これが大変美味しく、素晴らしい旅の思い出になりました。
I visited the Kurushima Strait Vessel Traffic Service Center in Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture, for its annual public open day, guided by the transport-focused YouTuber "Channel Chohokei."
As the weather was poor in the morning, we waited at the Kurushima Strait Observatory for conditions to improve. Fortunately, the rain stopped and the fog lifted around noon, allowing us to head to the center without issue.
Inside the facility, we explored various interactive exhibits, and from the rooftop observation deck, we watched signals being sent to ships navigating the Kurushima Strait. I was deeply impressed to see large vessels confidently navigating the narrow strait, following the center's precise instructions.
To wrap up the trip, we enjoyed okonomiyaki at "Okonomiyaki Yuta" in Imabari City; it was absolutely delicious and made for a wonderful memory of the journey.
